Kalistus (Sifon Okoi)
Sifon Okoi, popularly known as Kalistus, was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, and hails from Eket in Akwa Ibom State. He was raised in Abuja, where he attended Government Secondary School Karu and Federal Technical College Orozo. In 2012, he obtained a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from Sango Ota Polytechnic in Ogun State.
Kalistus’s foray into comedy began in 2014 when his longtime friend, Kassim Braimah, approached him with an idea for a comedy skit. Despite having no prior acting experience, Sifon agreed to participate, leading to the creation of the character “Kalistus” in the web series Yawa Skits. The series humorously portrays the struggles of an unemployed Nigerian youth resorting to various schemes to make ends meet.
Kalistus continues to entertain audiences with his unique brand of comedy, shedding light on everyday challenges through humor. His work remains influential in the Nigerian comedy scene, inspiring a new generation of content creators.
